Daytime
Postpartum Services
As a parent of three, an educator, and a childcare provider, much of my knowledge comes from my experiences with the children Iโve cared for over the past two decades. As a postpartum doula, I offer evidence-based information and assistance to compassionately help you meet your baby's needs, care for yourself, and ease your transition into parenthood. My goal is to help each parent feel a sense of contentment, confidence, and connection with their baby during the first few joyous, hormonal, exhausting weeks after birth. I offer both daytime and overnight support, with a flexible schedule to meet your needs during this amazing and unpredictable time.
How I Support You
My daytime support helps you maximize your recovery from birth and focus on your well-being and connection with your newborn. Every familyโs priorities differ, so my services will be customized to meet your needs. In-home visits may address anything relating to the fourth trimester, including:
Assistance with newborn feeding
Guidance for interpreting babyโs cues
Safe infant sleep solutions
Caring for baby while the parents shower, nap, or eat a meal (with two hands!)
Help with organizing support from friends and family
Discussions of postpartum mental health and screening for postpartum mood disorders
Referrals for postpartum providers as needed (lactation, massage, chiropractic, etc.)
Assistance with creating a nurturing and peaceful environment for the family
Gentle techniques to facilitate physical healing after birth
Nutrition recommendations to promote nourishment and healing
Hands-on help with baby-wearing, swaddling, and soothing techniques
A safe space for the birthing parent and partner to process emotions
My scope of practice excludes house cleaning (other than general tidying up), driving you places, or babysitting while you go out. Iโm happy to accompany you and your baby on errands and appointments.
